Head to Head - Premiership Head to Head
LAST corresponding Fixture : Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1

Squads : Jose Reina is available again after suspension and Peter
Crouch hopes to be available after injury. Robbie Fowler is cup tied
and can't play. There are also concerns for the Reds over Warnock,
Kromkamp and Agger.

Team Stats : The Reds haven't beaten United in the FA Cup since
1921. That year the Reds needed a replay at Old Trafford to knock
them out and then they lost in the next round.

The only other Reds win over United was actually when they were
known as Newton Heath. That win came in 1898.

Since the Reds' last FA Cup win United have beaten the Reds on seven
occassions. Their winning tally included cup final wins in 1977 and
1996.

Looking at all games United do have the edge over the Reds with 64
wins to 54. The Reds haven't beaten United since a Danny Murphy
penalty secured a 1-0 league win at Old Trafford. Murphy, in that
game was also the last Red to score against United. Since then A
John O'Shead goal is all the Reds have to show for their troubles.

In cup games the Reds can look back to the last two cup encounters
with some joy. In 2001 the Reds defeated United at the Charity
Shield and then in 2003 win the League Cup Final in Cardiff by
beating United 2-0.

You have to go back to 1850 for the last cup game played at Anfield.
In the League Cup the Reds won 2-1 thanks to two gaols from Jan
Molby.

The two games this season have seen a 0-0 draw at Anfield and only a
few weeks ago came a late United winner from Rio Ferdinand.

The Reds are just two goals away from scoring 150 under Rafa
Benitez.

Player Stats : Both Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypia have the most
experience in the FA Cup of those available to play in this one for
the Reds. Both players have played 20 FA Cup games.

Steven Gerrard leads the Reds' scoring charts of those who are
eligible to play. He has 3 goals in 15 games.

Referee : Howard Webb

Betting : Liverpool 7/5, United 7/4, Draw : 19/10

Liverweb Prediction : Liverpool 1 Manchester United 0
