Jose Reina serves the second match of his three game for this one.
Steven Gerrard is a slight doubt for this one having picked up an
injury against Chelsea but he should recover in time for the match.
Peter Crouch misses out due to a heel injury.

Neil Mellor is not eligible for this game due to his loan deal at
Wigan and both Jason Roberts and Pascal Chimbonda are suspended. Lee
McCulloch and David Connolly are both injured and Henri Camara is a
doubt due to the African Nations.

Team Stats : The two sides met in league football for the first time
at Anfield back in December. That day Peter Crouch broke his scoring
duck by bagging a brace.

This is only the fourth ever meeting between the sides and this will
bethe first ever played away from Anfield. Back in October 1989 the
Reds were meant to play an away game in the League Cup against the
Latics but the match was switched from Springfield Park. That game
finished 3-0 and saw Steve Staunton score a hat-trick as a sub.

A Wigan win would inflct the 100th away Premireship defeat on the
Reds.

Player Stats : Momo Sissoko will look to play his 20th league game
for the Reds.

Should Jamie Carragher play he will be playing his 399th game for
the Reds.

Peter Crouch, Xabi Alonso and Jamie Carragher all go in to the game
on four bookings and therefore risk a suspension if they get booked
again.

Steven Gerrard has been subbed 49 times in the league for the Reds.

Peter Crouch will hope to starthis 20th league game for the Reds in
this one.

Both Stephane Henchoz and David Thompson hope to face their former
side.

Referee : Rob Styles - took charge of the Reds' home draw with
United earlier this season. A week later he took charge of Wigan
when they won at Everton. Also took charge of Wigan's game at
Charlton.

In a total of 19 games this season he has shown 64 yelow cards and 4
red cards.
