LAST corresponding Fixture :
<http://www.liverweb.org.uk/arsh0405report.htm>Liverpool 2 Arsenal 1
Squads : Peter Crouch is a doubt through a heel injury whilst Luis Garcia
is definitely still out with a knee problem. Stephen warnock is fit again
after a minor groin injury.
Jose Reyes is out for Arsenal with a bruised foot whilst Denis Bergkamp has
a slight calf strain. Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue are back in the Arsenal
squad after their trip to the Afrocan Nations Cup.
Team Stats : The Reds have just one win over Arsenal in the last eight
games. That win did come last season though at Anfield thanks to a late
winner from Neil Mellor.
In thirteen home premiership games the Reds have recorded seven wins, three
draws and three losses. The Reds score at just under two a game at Anfield
against Arsenal and concede just less than one goal a game.
Only once in this premiership fixture have the Reds come from behind to
win. However they have lost a match having led on two occassions.
The biggest victory at Anfield for the Reds in the league over Arsenal came
in 1964 when they won 5-0. Peter Thompson got two of the 5 goals that day.
Arsenal's biggest win at Anfield was a 5-1 victory back in 1952.
A win for the Reds would take them to 900 points overall in the Premiership.
If the Reds were to score three goals in this game it would take the Reds
to 150 under the managerial reins. So far the 147 goals thus far have come
in 103 games.
If the Reds score one goal it will mean Arsenal have conceded 250 in the
Premiership away from home.
Player Stats : Jamie Carragher will hope to play his 400th match for
Liverpool in this game.
Momo Sissoko will hope to play his 20th league game in this match.
If Steven Gerrard is subbed in the match it will be the 50th time he has
been subbed in the Premiership. Only Smicer and Owen were ever subbed more
than Gerrard.
Robbie Fowler has nine goals for the Reds in the league against Arsenal. He
is the leading scorer from either side.
Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso and Peter Crouch are all one booking away from
a suspension for the Reds. Steve Finnan is one league booking away from
double figures in a Reds shirt.
Referee : Graham Poll - nineteen games so far this season and shown 78
yellow cards and four Red ones. Hast taken charge of two Liverpool games
this season - the away win at Everton and home loss to Chelsea. For Arsenal
games he has taken charge three times overseeing a win, a draw and a loss
for the Gunners.
Betting : Liverpool Evens, Arsenal 12/5, Draw : 2/1
Liverweb Prediction : Liverpool 1 Arsenal 0
