The Reds have made their first movement of the transfer window and its an
exchange deal which sees Josemi going to Villareal and Jan Kromkamp coming
to Anfield. Kromkamp is Dutch and can play in both midfield and defence on
the right hand side. The deal just needs he agreement of the two players now.

It is alleged the Saprissa player Christian Bolanos is to have atrial with
the Reds in January. To those who remember the world club champ first game
then Bolanos was probably the only player to cause the Reds any kind of
problems.

Weekly Teletext Article below

Halfway through the festive period and maximum points already. The festive
cheer has come with little problems as well and underlines how well we are
starting to play these days. We have been faced with sides who normally
put up a fight against us but we have got the ball down and played our own
football. At that point we have charged past both Newcastle and Everton
without hitting top gear.

What is pleasing now is that we are not playing as individuals but very
much as a team where everyone knows their duty. When one man misses his
area then their are players ready t move in and cover well. This makes a
sound basing for what we are seeing now. The league may be a little beyond
us this season but looking forward to the new year we should hold no fear.

The players who came in during the summer have made us a stronger side
overall and with January nearly upon us the transfer window will open once
again. Playing as well as we are makes the window a bit easier in my mind
as we can simply look to individual areas for a player who will come and
put pressure on those in the side now. We know we need a centre back for
example. At least we don't have to look for quick fix panic buys this time.

To all those reading I wish you all a happy new year and see you in 2006.
