Steven Gerrard has been voted the Players Player of the Year. Gerrard
received the trophy last night at the award ceremony and beat off
competition from Terry, Lampard, Rooney, Henry and Cole.

Gerrard was also in the Premiership team of the season and was joined
by Jamie Carragher in there as well.

The Reds will meet West ham United in the FA Cup Final on May 13th.
The Hammers beat Middlesboro 1-0 yesterday at Villa Park.

The result will probably mean that the Reds will get their usual end
at Cardiff for the final.

The referee has already been picked to be Mike Dean.

In the rumour mill - Pascal Chimbonda is an alleged target for the
Reds this summer. The Wigan defender has claimed taht the Reds and
also Man United are watching him.

Daniele Bonera has issued a come and get me plea to the Reds for the
summer saying that joining Liverpool is an experience he would like to
try.

One other linked target was Phillipe Mexes of Roma but he has said
that he wishes to stay at Roma next season.
