Team Stats : The Reds will be aiming for their 20th awayleague win
over Newcastle in this one.

The Reds have a good overall record againstnewcastle in League
football. Only three other teams have been defeated more than
Newcastle.

Solely looking at premiership games between the two sides the Reds
have won 60% of the points on offer.

Should the Reds win this game then they will have taken more points
off Newcastle than any other team.

Away from home the Reds haven't beaten Newcastle away from home
since the 2001-02 season.

That year the Reds completed a league double over Newcastle.

A win for the Reds this time round would also comeplete a league
double over Newcastle. That would be the Reds' 18th of all time.

The Reds have failed to score just three times away from home in
Premiership games at Newcastle. However two of those three have come
in the last three visits to St James's Park.

Only the Reds league win in 2001-02 have the Reds kept a clean sheet
away in the Premiership.

You have to go back to season 1973-74 for the last goalless draw in
the league. Later that season the Reds battered Newcastle in the FA
Cup Final.

Player Stats : Peter Crouch needs one goal to hit double figures for
the Reds.

Xabi Alonso has appeared as a sub on nine occasions for the Reds in
the league.

Djibril Cisse has come off the bench 19 times in the league so far
for the Reds.

Steven Gerrard has left the pitch 49 times as a sub in the league
for the Reds.

Referee : Mike Riley

Betting : Liverpool 5/4, Newcastle 15/8, Draw : 2/1

Liverweb Prediction : NBewcastle United 0 Liverpool 2
