International Stars - past and present

Poland V England finished 1-2 tonight. Former Red Michael Owen may have scored the winner - but it may be ruled an own goal.

Former Red David James was dropped by England as goalkeeper for the match after his mistake at the weekend. Current Liverpool goaly Jerzy Dudek made some good saves for Poland. Other current Liverpool keeper Chris Kirkland missed out due to injury.

Steven Gerrard played for England in midfield, with Jamie Carragher making a good appearance at right back as substitute.

Former Liverpool player and coach Sammy Lee was amongst the England coaching staff, along with another former Liverpool keeper, Ray Clemence.

Other Reds players involved elsewhere on international duty. This includes Cisse who scored a goal for France.
