El Hadji Diouf won't be able to play for Bolton Wanderers against Liverpool next weekend.

The Senegal star has completed a loan move to the Reebok Stadium but a new directive from the FA will prevent him facing his former team-mates when Bolton meet the Reds a week on Sunday. Bolton boss Sam Allardyce explained, "There's a new ruling that any player loaned in the Premiership cannot play against the club from which they've arrived. It's not a club decision anymore. It's a Premier League ruling."
