NUNEZ OUT FOR A MONTH

Liverpool will be without Antonio Nunez for up to four weeks after a scan
showed he has sustained medial ligament damage to his left knee.
Nunez picked up the injury in training yesterday just hours after being
officially unveiled as a Liverpool player.

An x-ray immediately ruled out a fracture to the knee, but Nunez underwent
a scan today which showed he has partially torn his medial ligament.

Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton said: "We expect the player will be out of
action for four weeks."
