Head to Head - Premiership Head to Head

LAST corresponding Fixture : Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1

Squads : Luis Garcia has been ruled out of the match through injury which
is still to clear up. Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended following his sending
off last week in the Manchester derby.

Liverpool : Reina, Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Riise, Warnock, Traore,
Gerrard, Hamann, Alonso, Sissoko, Kewell, Cisse, Morientes, Sinama
Pongolle, Crouch, Kromkamp, Agger, Carson.

United : Van der Sar, Howard, Neville, Bardsley, Ferdinand, Brown,
Silvestre, Vidic, Evra, O'Shea, Richardson, Smith, Fletcher, Giggs, Van
Nistelrooy, Rooney, Saha, Rossi

Team Stats : The Reds go in search of their 50th league win over United.
Man United are the only major side to have a better record over the Reds.
They have 63 wins to the Reds' 56 in all competitions.

The Reds have 14 league wins away to United whereas they have 33 home
league wins. They last won in 2004 when Danny Murphy scored the only goal
of the game from the penalty spot. Last season the Reds went down 2-1. That
defeat saw Steven Gerrard limp out with a broken foot and Mikel Silvestre
score twice as the Reds tried to get used to zonal marking.

The Reds have never turned around a loss at any point of a Premiership game
with United. On three occassions they have failed to take maximum points
after going ahead.

Player Stats : Jamie Carragher will hope to play his 275th league game for
the Reds in this one. It will be his 395th Reds game in total.

Harry Kewell needs one goal for double figures in the league for the Reds.
Both Morientes and Pongolle need one goal to hit double figures in all
competitions for the Reds.

Sami Hyypia will look to play his 350th game for Liverpool in this one. In
those games so far he has bagged 24 goals including two against United.
Those two goals make him the leading scorer against United still playing
for the Reds in the Premiership.

Ryan Giggs is the player leading the scoring charts and still playing for
either side. He has four goals against the Reds.

Referee : Mike Riley - averaging over 4 yellow cards a game this season. He
has awarded 8 penalties in nine games at Old Trafford.

Betting : Liverpool 11/5, United 11/10, Draw : 2/1

Liverweb Prediction : Manchester United 0 Liverpool 1
