Morgan bids for ITV Reds shares

STEVE Morgan is close to putting together a deal to buy a 10% stake in
Liverpool FC from ITV.

Property tycoon Morgan is already involved in talks to snap up a
controlling interest in the club from David Moores.

But reports today indicate he is in negotations to buy up ITV's shares.
ITV's stake in Liverpool stems from the mid 1990s when Granada took a 10%
stake in the club.

Mr Morgan already owns a 5% stake, if his bid for the ITV shares is
successful it will consolidate his position as the club' s third biggest
shareholder.
