[Liverweb] Reserves lose final game

The Reds slumped to defeat in their final reserve game of the
season. Having beaten Man United on Sunday the Reds changed the side
around alittle for their visit to City. Dan Agger came in for the
first half at the back

City took the lead on twenty six minutes from the penalty spot.
Danny O'Donnell conceded the spot kick as he wrestled Miller to the
ground. Miller got up and scored from the spot to give City the lead.

City doubled the lead five minutes before half time when Sun Jihai
played a one two with Etuhu before slotting home having rounded
David Martin.

The Reds brought Guthrie on in place of Agger at half time and tried
to get back in to the game. Calliste went close when forcing Weaver
into a fine save early on. Ultimately though City had reasonable
control of the game and were never under too much threat.

Besian Idrizaj did hit the underside of the bar just before the end
but it would merely have been a consolation effort in the end.

The reserves season is now over and the Reds finished in 6th place.
