[Liverweb] Reserves lose out at Sunderland

The Reds reserves slumped to a 2-1 defeat up at Sunderland following
a late penalty from Sunderland. This was the Reds' second game this
week for the reserves. Trialist Lee Tomlin again made a substitute
appearance for the Reds in the second half.

Sunderland took the lead on nineteen mintes through Daryl Murphy who
headed hom a McFarlane cross. The Reds had started brightly in the
game but the goal set them back a touch.

Jack Hobbs hit the post on twenty five minutes before the Reds did
get back on level terms after 37 minutes. Robbie Foy picked out Adam
Hammill who scored the goal.

Snderland bagged a winner nine minutes from time thanks to a
penalty. Sean Taylor struck home past David Martin, who had conceded
the penalty kick in the first place.
