Rafael Benitez admitted he was delighted with the performance of his
team in the 3-0 win over Anderlecht as the Reds edged closer to
qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League.
Benitez felt his team played good football and deserved their victory but
said there is still a lot of hard work to be done when Real Betis come to
Anfield on November 23rd.

Benitez said: "I am delighted and we played well and scored three good
goals. It is three more points and now we have a lot of confidence.

"We haven't qualified yet thoughh and I know Betis will be dangerous
opponents but we will try to beat them and win the game."

The Reds manager felt it was important for Fernando Morientes to score but
said there was an injury scare for the Spanish striker who felt some pain
in his knee, but Benitez is hoping it isn't serious.

Benitez said: "It was important for Morientes to score and it was good for
us. Unfortunately Fernando had to come off because he felt pain in his knee
so we will have to wait and see how he is on Thursday."
