Luis Garcia is backing Liverpool to start transferring their excellent
Champions League form into the Premiership on a regular basis.
The Reds were again in top form last night as they saw off the challenge of
Anderlecht to move a step nearer qualifying for a place in the last sixteen
of the competition.

Rafa Benitez will doubtless spend the rest of this week drumming into his
players the importance of maintaining the standards set last night when
they travel to Villa Park this weekend for league action against David
O'Leary's men.

Liverpool have struggled to win domestic games immediately following
European matches over the last year, but Garcia is confident that fact is
soon set to change.

He said: "We have won two games in a row now and that's very important for
us. We know we need to be more consistent in the league and I'm sure we
will be.

"If we can keep playing as we have done over the last couple of games then
I'm sure that in a few weeks time we'll be much closer to the top of the
table.

"The Champions League is going well for us at the moment and we're pleased
to be on ten points. We haven't qualified yet though and so that's why the
next game is going to be very important.

"It was a very good performance last night. The team played well, in the
second half we pressed very well high up the pitch and that gave us a lot
of confidence. We're playing good football, scoring goals and not conceding."
