VLADI SET FOR FRENCH RETURN

Vladimir Smicer looks set to return to French football by signing a two
year deal with Bordeaux.

Smicer, who played a key role in Liverpool's Champions League final
victory last month, has been told he can leave Anfield this summer after
six years at the club.

Premiership outfits Charlton and Birmingham were reportedly interested
in his services, but according to sources in the Czech Republic the 32
year old midfielder has opted for a move to Bordeaux.

The former Lens player will undergo a medical on Monday before
finalising the terms of his two year deal at the Stade Chaban-Delmas.
