TNS CONFIRM VENUE FOR LIVERPOOL TIE
By Paul Rogers 28 June 2005

TNS have confirmed that they will play the second leg of their UEFA
Champions League tie against Liverpool in Wrexham.
According to the official TNS website, The Racecourse Ground was the
club's originally nominated ground to Uefa, but the draw forced a
rethink because capacity is limited to 10,000 for European ties.

However, despite considering other options, the club has now decided to
return to Wrexham, which staged last season's Uefa Cup second leg
against Osters IF of Sweden.

"Having weighed up all the possible options, we are more than happy to
play the game in Wrexham," said managing director Mike Harris.

"The Millennium Stadium probably wouldn't be available to us as there's
a three-day convention being held there in the days prior to the game.
We decided taking the second leg to Anfield would've been too much
trouble to organise. And how many of our fans would've actually wanted
to travel to Liverpool for it?"

The game will be played on Tuesday 19th July 2005, kick-off at 8pm.

The first leg will be held at Anfield on Wednesday 13th July, kick-off
7.45pm.
