GARCIA IN SPAIN CALL-UP

Luis Garcia has been rewarded for his improved form of late with a
call-up to the Spain squad for the forthcoming games against China and
Serbia/Montenegro.

The former Barcelona man netted twice in last week's Champions League
tie in Leverkusen, taking his goals tally for the season to eight, and
he'll now be hoping to build on that by winning his first full cap for
Spain.

Although called-up to the squad on two previous occasions he's yet to
make his international debut.

With Xabi Alonso still out injured and Fernando Morientes overlooked,
Garcia is Liverpool's only representative in Luis Aragones' squad.

Spain play a friendly against China on March 26 then the World Cup
qualifier four days later.
