KEEPER KIRKLAND BACKS OUT

Goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek returns to the Liverpool side against Portsmouth
after Chris Kirkland was ruled out with a back injury.

Local teenager Paul Harrison will be on the bench as cover.

Manager Rafael Benitez could recall striker Milan Baros and Xabi Alonso
might also start at the expense of Salif Diao in midfield as Liverpool bid
to get back on track in the league following the derby defeat to Everton.

Nigel Quashie will again miss out with a groin injury when Portsmouth face
the Reds.

Striker Lomana LuaLua should be fit despite coming off with cramp towards
the end of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Newcastle.

Velimir Zajec looks set to opt for an unchanged team with David Unsworth
ruled out until the new year with hamstring trouble sustained in last
week's win over West Brom.
