Murphy not going to Spurs.

According to various sources, the Tottenham website one of them, Danny Murphy is now not going to join Spurs. The Spurs website says it's because he's demanded a guaranteed first-team place.

From what we've heard elsewhere, he doesn't fancy a move to London, which also rules out Charlton, and isn't keen on Everton (who is?).

It now remains to be seen whether any other clubs come in for him at this late stage. His valuation of (reportedly) 2.5 million is quite reasonable for an England international. It's a question of whether any clubs now have funds ready. Don't rule out a move to Celtic for him, and Blackburn's boss Sounness is an admirer.
